New air for the Atlas Copco spare parts catalogs.  Atlas Copco Airpower and Key Technologies officially released the new software solution aimed at managing all of the Group’s spare parts catalogs, based on Key Technologies’s best-in-class e-PARTS platform.  Key Technologies was selected on the basis of a thoroughly software selection project, directly operated by the Atlas Copco Group at a European level.

The solution implemented addresses different user typologies, ranging from  Atlas Copco Airpower ‘s service structure representatives to its commercial partners and field  service representatives, to the equipment’s end users. Through e-PARTS , Atlas Copco Airpower stakeholders are now able to identify in an easy and univocal manner the components of each equipment and to order the original spare parts directly in the Atlas Copco systems   .

The e-PARTS solution implemented for Atlas Copco Airpower  integrates with the Group’s design ( PLM ) and production ( ERP ) systems. Analysis and data quality control tools were integrated with authoring processes, allowing the Group to optimize the entire catalog lifecycle. At the same time, the solution enabled Atlas Copco to automate most of the drafting and authoring operations, which previously required manual processing and specific know-how specifico.

The e-PARTS solution allowed Atlas Copco Airpower to meet multiple priority goals, such as:

  • Reducing times and costs of catalog creation and management
  • Improving the quality of published information
  • Allowing automatic publishing in multi-channel mode (Web, PDF, USB)
  • Providing the service structure with an advanced, intuitive tool to identify the spare parts concerned in the various maintenance operations
  • Increasing sales of original spare parts significantly
